The Stage Door Canteen: Lynn Roberts Returns
March 24, 26, 27, & 28, 2010

The Stage Door Canteen reopens by popular demand with the one “girl” singer who has the distinction of having sung it all—Lynn Roberts! Long after the end of World War II, the music that floated through our nation in the early 1940s is viewed by many as the country’s finest Pop moment.  Wartime nostalgia–“String of Pearls”, “Chattanooga Choo Choo”, “As Time Goes By”—and the glorious performers of the USO who brought these wonderful songs to our servicemen and women–the Andrews Sisters, Rosemary Clooney, Peggy Lee—kept the hope alive on both sides of the Atlantic. Even as time marches on, this music remains astonishingly relevant as The POPS salutes the men and women fighting for our freedom and liberty today.

“Lynn Roberts sings like an angel!”
